Very strange creature was found dead in Panama. According to reports, teenagers have beaten it to death after they saw it was crawling towards them out of a cave. Later they returned and took photos of the corpse. The animal is still unidentified, but one of the versions says it can be a sloth that lost its hair.

I find it very disturbing that the two of you could make light of this incident. This animal does indeed favor a sloth of some sort, which are extremely endangered in Panama and are, globally, a protected species. The fact that it was in a cave indicates a tremendously rare type of sloth. These teenagers that beat it to death ought to be punished to the fullest extent of the law. this is ridiculous. I am panamanian and i remember the day this came out.
A group of about 4 teenagers, 15-17, where hanging out at a stream in Cerro Azul, they got really close to a waterfall, and all of the sudden this big animal ( the rest of the pictures were scary shit, it had a HUGE belly and this mile-long limbs), comes out of the waterfall and starts to approach them, naturally, they got scared and they threw stones at it for it to leave, and one of them threw a big one at him, dont exactly know where, somewhere vital i guess, and killed it, they got scared and ran off, having taken the pictures first.
they did not kill the animal on purpose, or with evil and sadistic thoughts in mind.
They got scared. They shouldn’t be punished, it was an odd and sad event that happened. but that’s it. It is sad that the animal died, but people should know that it was not out of boredom or spite that they killed it.

Each of these performed similar if not almost exactly the same miracles, food and bread things, water walking, etc. Seriously! That happened. And . . . it happened just that way. Same stuff: virgin birth, star in the sky, important visitors, etc. etc. It was a good time for society to become united around a common belief.
Regrettably, however, this belief is more often used as a hatred. Am i angry or insistent? No, but I am hoping i might bring one or two to consider that the club they are in is composed of totally false issues and beliefs. and I have do not have anything against you, and i would consider interesting to know about your lifestyle and philosophy, just for the sake of knowing. But i would still believe, I have am open minded, and i have talked to atheists, but you don’t have to be rude about your opinion that’s it, i am a sixteen year old girl. I don’t like arguing with people on the internet, this is the first time i do so, but i do believe in god, and i’ll defend that and try not to be intense, i am sorry if you thought that i was mad. someone irrational would have been mad if you had simply been explaining about your beliefs, but you weren’t.

You insulted a belief, called stupid those who believed in it, and that last one was just plain rude. You need to understand that not everyone is like you, and that doesn’t make them stupid. when you said that I got mad, you are right, because if i had told you “science is crap, and we should all stop living our lives to adore god 24/7, because finding cures for disease, and improvements to those who need it is not as important”, you would have been indignant, because that is not only false, but very ignorant, fanatic, and selfish.

Well, Well, Well, a 16 year old girl. I am surprised! Why? for the simple reason that you are doing so well for such a young person. I am a psychologist, a doctor as they say, and with over nine years in college alone intensely studying psychology as well as the years in my professional practice, I frankly suspected you were either young or simply very dense, extremely defensive, and overtly argumentative.
But it’s not that way. You are a woman, and I did not get that as your writing and the way you carry your concerns and accusations is more male like. No, not a difficulty, what i see in that is your courage and ability to speak your mind. Generally young women, unless they are unusually solid emotionally, and in your case also intelligent, would not normally take the attitude you have, standing up so well for what you have decided is a value you will support. I applaud you!
I am quite pleased to see what drives you, and by the way, your approach to religion is fairly good, a bit dogmatic (as most are defending their faith) but otherwise reasonable and your points, while defensive, are not too bad. What you have missed is that i was not insulting or attempting to make disparaging statements about religion.
I think this may be difficult for you to comprehend, but as you are apparently solid and bright, allow me to ask you, if I may, to do something for me that is very difficult for almost anyone–except those who can think well. I have this suspicion you will not only surprise me, you will surprise yourself.
First, lets get you on a different emotional plane. Rather than come in with the feeling that I am against you and against religion, i want you to first calm yourself. Sit down, get your body is a comfortable relaxed position, preferably laying back, arms in your lap or at your sides, and simply breath slowly while you float on a clear white cloud a bit.
This is called relaxation, and if you follow me, you will be surprised at how easily you can clear you mind and let your emotional unrest relax a bit. In that comfortable position, lean your head back comfortably, and close your eyes. Now, just breathe. Make your breaths very deliberate and slow them somewhat. Breath in and feel the air come in, breath out and feel the slow release.
OK, while you are doing that, with your mind only, feel your toes. allow yourself to feel each little thing about your toes, every feeling, the warmth, and how comfortable they are. With the same thoroughness you felt in your toes, slowly move up your legs, through your body, and to your chest–then start at your finger tips , and up your arms, allowing the feelings from your arms and shoulders to connect with the other that is waiting at your chest. Still breathing slowly and concentrating on each breath move the feeling up through your chest, neck and head where the imaginary ball of feelings slowly is released through the top of your head.
This is the beginning of a relaxation technique my clients are taught and it is surprisingly effective in leaving you comfortable. The whole procedure should not be rushed, and you should do your best to feel good, very relaxed, warm and comfortable while you are doing it. Some do it in five minutes, and others take 15. Usually the men are embarrassed t do this until i tell them I have used it for many years and how effective it can be in making your day better if practiced twice a day.
OK, go and do it. The computer is patient, and will wait for a week if necessary, and like a loving, and happy little puppy, will be there for you, ready and willing to do whatever you want when you return.
DO NOT READ BEYOND THIS LINE UNTIL YOU DO THE RELAXATION AND BECOME CALMED . . . please?
I probably should not do this to a young person, and if i considered you inept or seriously defensive, I probably would not. But i would like to assist you in something if I may. Please follow me closely in this because I will show you something you can remember for the rest of your days.
I would like you to begin reading with this thought in mind. Please do not think I am angered, or against anything. I’m absolutely not. Nor am i against you or your religion or attempting to be arrogant or better than anyone. In all sincerity, i do not think that way. Yes, I realize you think I do, but that is your defensiveness working against you and some brainwashing as well.
I realize that you do not think yourself brainwashed, but in truth you are, as are most people, but they do not know it and you would not either. You see, there has never been a single solitary person who has been brainwashed that knows he/she is brainwashed. They feel they made the decision, what ever it was, all on their own, because it was a good idea, because it made sense to them, or for any number of other reasons that they always felt were their own. Still, brainwashed they were. It’s usually practiced on children by parents, and neither the children nor the parents know about brainwashing or that they had done it or had it done.
If i may ask you to attempt to see what ai am goinf to present. To do so, you will need to look beyond any needs you feel to argue your position or tell me WHY you do this or that, and you have to accept–if just for the next 15 minutes–that I am neither for or against ANYTHING. Just a kind friend assisting you to see things in a manner you are finding momentarily difficult.
OK, remember, i am a pleasant happy friend, my gray beard, wise kind smile and pleasant little laugh relax you and allow you to trust me . . . well, just for now if that is all you will allow.
Alright now, lets look at what you read earlier, as I have copied it below. Yet this time you read it, you will see a quiet, pleasant wise and helpful father figure–with that sweet smelling pipe, sitting back in his chair as he calmly and pleasantly tells you of some things. he is not trying to harm you or ask you to change your mind about any of your beliefs. he only wants you to have the freedom of true choice, unhampered by the brainwashing society places on everyone, and always below the level of consciousness, as they pass on their own rigid beliefs. Parents have done this to their children since the start of time. If anything is normal, brainwashing is.
People accept these brainwashings as if God himself had set it in their mind, never questioning, never realizing that it was a belief system (not necessarily about religion, but thats is the most common one)
So, you see, defensive people have been doing this, and those who are brainwashed don’t realize it. But can you now understand that we all get it?
Some people can consider all the brainwashing they got and still formulate their own realities, while others are stuck. The will not look at things and see them as they are, they absolutely will not question them, and worst of all, they have no ides that they are doing this. It is very successful brainwashing.
Some people are defensive, which means that they will resort to defensive posturing, arguing almost anything that they feel may be an insult or an attack, but is it really so. Perhaps someone is simply hoping to pass along the ability that allows the other person to make their own judgment; to free them a bit from the brainwashing, get them to the point where they can make an unbiased decision rather than be subject to a belief they have to basis for. Not just religion, but ANY belief.
and please my young friend, that is all i was offering you.

but I would only ask that you be easy, please trust me only to the end of this writing, but please do trust me. You can allow me that much can you not young lady?
Surely now, knowing that i am a doctor, and that i have been quite kind and polite, not at all angered, and generally pleasant and on your side so far, you can go along with this? Please do, for if you do, you will be taking the first step toward a freedom you will only receive when you are older, but you will remember this meeting, this kindly older gentlemen, and that he gave you the ability to see further than ever before.
OK, so lets read that last letter from me once again. This time however, in your pleasant relaxed mode listening to the wisdom of grandfather, as he is now so pleasant, kind, and helpful, concerned not that you have religion, but that you, well, look before you cross a big street, so to speak. In this case, after you read again, if you decide you will keep the faith, he will accept that as easily as do you, and be pleased for you and support you as long as you wish.
All grandfather really wished, is that you could have enough knowledge to base a decision on, before you blindly follow all the lemmings off the cliff. You see, right now, you have no knowledge of religion, but you argue that faith as if it was something you have studied endlessly, but grandfather knows that has not been the case. he knows you have been brainwashed. he is older, has many more years than you, and he too was brainwashed. Brainwashed so deeply that he became a baptist minister.
But for him, that was good, because it helped him to look carefully at what he supported. To study it openly and clearly, not as a blind follower of the faith, but as a scholarly student with an active and intelligent mind.
In doing so, i learned my religion well. And as I learned, i found that what i thought was right, was not necessarily so. I’m not saying wrong, but something wasn’t right either. As a minister, I was closer to my God than you can ever be.
Then is when i decided that i knew God well, was very close to Jesus, my savior, and i worked hard to bring them both all the followers my tent would hold. I wanted others to feel the fullness of Jesus in their souls as I had in mine. So, in an effort to understand my lord better, i dug into the books and I visit with scholars, religious and atheist both. After all, the best way to fight Satan is to know him, well, then you do not fall into his many temptations–am i right. Yes, I was, YES! YES YES!
But, sadly, that the beginning of my downfall. You see, the more I learned, the more I knew to learn and where to find it. i was relentless, and six months later I knew something I had never expected. I found without a doubt, that there never was a god, that this solid strong belief i had was I was simply not real. I was sad, but also, I was released.
still a young man with a good education and I went back into psychology, to help even more people.

As i said before, I will not question your decision. But please child, please look and do not find later that you too were fooled. Think of this for me. When you were very young, you probably believed in Santa Clause. But as you grew, you thought about that fat old man a bit as your mind developed moving from a child to a young lady. it didn’t take much to realize that one old fat man carrying gifts to every child in the world, all in one night, was very unlikely. And in a cold open sleigh pulled by what??? Gimme a break! That’s preposterous!
Then your parents told you about the myth and why it is and you were happy again.
. . . but what if they had not? Would you feel comfortable now still holding on to that Santa Clause thing? Not knowing that you were being a fool, not then.
So, all i want to bring your way was this. believe if you wish. I will not stand in your way, but please look at your religion closely. Study it well. think about this a few hundred times. There are hundreds of other religions that do not believe in your God. They think you are a fool because everyone knows that their God is the one true God and you are carrying false witness!
They They feel as strong about their God as you do about yours. Now, if you can think at all, you have to understand this. ONE OF YOU HAS TO BE WRONG! What if it’s you? What then? Want to stand at the pearly gates and have a guy in a turban with a long crooked knife smile as he jabs it at a small door. Your entrance… you are an infidel and you are going to be tortured.
Only one way to be sure and that is not by believing, but by knowing. You can only get that by reading, thinking, wondering, and looking clearly, with your own brain, not one someone is blindsiding through some well rehearsed brainwashing methodologies.
You look Girl! Do not assume. do not be fooled. do not fool yourself.
Then you will know!
I hope you can understand what I am saying, although my experience says that you probably will not look and study. i hope you will. Mosat people could care less and simply gibe up. i think you might be the one who can do more.
Unfortunately, the defensiveness you have is a condition that makes a person difficult to speak reasonably with. They would rather fight than think. Anger, the usual response–anger and bad feelings, and no one gets anywhere.
I am going to take my message, copy it below, and beneath each passage that you may feel badly about, i am going to help you understand a non-defensive person (me) so you might see how those of us who are extremely difficult to insult might actually be thinking. You see, i truly did nothing to make any attempt to insult anyone or any religion. I simply offered another other possibilities. Reasonable ones too, and those who study have the ability to make a clear decision. Those who simply accept are truly, and very deeply brainwashed.
You are welcome to think any way you wish, as am I.
So, if you will, please picture the elderly gray bearded doctor, his pipe in hand, calm in his comfortable office, sitting calmly, smiling gently at you, pleased with life and with not a thing in the world against you or your religion other than that perhaps you were led her instead of making up your own mind (and of course, how would you know?).
His only challenge right now, is to provide you with something you can take from this–an understanding of what he actually did, and how he didn’t do a thing insulting or against anyone or any religion. He just wanted to help you find the ability to look instead of follow blindly.
After all, we don’t look for Easter Bunnies, tooth Fairies, and Santa Clause when we develop the ability to reason. Now, we need to know if this is the right religion and only real, in depth, factual, open minded study will provide that. Don’t you let anyone tell you to believe blindly. Not even God would want the people he created in his own image only six thousand years ago in that garden with the talking snake, to be blind. he wants them to be sure. he would like his people to learn and to do well. and that is all i hoped to bring to anyone.

It’s time to hang up the brainless considerations and bring your children into a better world. start by teaching them that their neighbors will be fun and enjoyable folks wherever they go, and to be extremely tolerant of all . . . except those who attempt to take your reasoning ability away through groundless beliefs. Religion is a belief. In fact any question of God’s absolute authority is not only frowned on, it is actually forbidden in the bible as a sin. Recall i was a Baptist minister–a DEGREED Baptist Minister. Religion is a society killer. It kills the existence of a “unified” society as the religious tend to keep to themselves and away from the suspicious and possibly sinning, non religious folk. I don’t make this up, and I am not being argumentative. Like it or not, this is true. Most of the higher up in the church will admit they want the “others” to join them, join the church, and until they do, they are treated with less acceptance than the flock. Please do try to think and realize i am only saying things that are factual and that I am polite, real, sitting calmly, puffing gently on my pipe as i speak with wisdom to a bright young woman who may be having a little difficulty with defensiveness, but is otherwise a rather unique person for many things. I will tell you what later.

Go watch what happens at a Baptist revival. That was the subject of my Ph.D thesis when I became a Doctor of Behavioral Science. I studied and test different brainwashing strategies while attending a religious college on the East Coast. i actually found something the government did not allow me to publish. They very nearly withheld my sheepskin, because my method was so unusually successful. In my studies, i could brainwash 58% of the people in about a week. 78 to 83% would succumb in two weeks. And all the time, they thought they came over to my side, which was absolutely groundless and false, of their own volition. They did not realize it was a well thought out plan–much like I used in my tent revivals as a young man with a deep voice and very practiced speaking.
I wanted to have money and power. Lots of it. . . . and I certainly did.

It appears i may be able to think a little more objectively than others. How about you? I believe you may be able to. i saw it in your wording and your forcefulness.
I am not in any atheist club, nor do i attempt to be a desk-pounding atheist in any fashion. I am simply against those who wind their lives, and the lives of their innocent children around a totally false belief–of any kind, be it religion, or any thing else. I don’t care for those mechanics who chose to believe that pistons should be measured at the crown rather than the skirt at 90 degrees to the pin, or the fishermen who thinks it better to ignore all science in favor some strange belief system. Those who perpetrate ignorance through either unrealistic or fearful concerns get my disfavor also.
Here I clearly point out that i an neutral, not angered, and my comment about false beliefs is real. If you can be honest with me I think you could admit knowing very little about the history, beliefs, and the realities with your religion. Yet your faith is strong. This is the very essence of a fale belief system. You beleive, but you don’t know what or why aboout it to any factual depth. You are fololowing, doing what others tell you to.
Can you see now what makes a false belief system what it is? I’m truly sorry to bring this reality to you, but it REALLY IS false, and it will be until you advance your knowledge to the point you can make a decision based on factual knowledge, not blind ideals. The if you chose religion, i will commend you and stand solid with you in your decision, before that, you are only a person as blind as any other. . .

First of all the guy that was saying things about stupid children etc obviously wasn’t set against people with disabilities, he was meaning people that act too stupid and immature cos they find it hilarious to act stupid. He wasn’t literally meaning people with disabilities.
Also, depending on the type of teenagers they were, they could have beat the animal up cos they’re sick people OR they could have genuinely been scared not knowing what it was and they could have beat it up in self defense (not defending anyone here, but I’m saying in the way they thought was self defense)
Tbh, if it was crawling toward them they should’ve phoned someone (animal help etc) up to come down and help the animal. Unless it was running toward the teenagers with claws or something then there was no reason for them to have attacked the animal.

Wow…for the person that said it was an animation from Splice, you’re seriously wrong. It looks nothing like Dren ( name of the creature in movie) so they’re both hairless. Dren is a lot better and easier to look at than these pictures are. If it was a harmless creature though, I feel for it. And may God let it rest in peace. But if it was a critter trying to hurt those kids, God obviously guided the rock that made the killing blow. And to EVERYONE! Remember, the news media has a habit of blowing a lot of things out of proportion and over exaggerating the truth. I doubt they literrally beat it with sticks or beat it.I believe they just threw a big rock at it to scare it off and it happened to get hit somewhere vital. Plus if it a sloth they could run a DNA test to find out if its a known species.and if it was sick. Even if it was just a sick sloth, maybe what it had was contagious and deadly to people and it hanging around a water source is bad juju.so maybe its a Machiavelli instance…”kill one to save a thousand”
